Here is a summary of two in depth interviews conducted by Vidya Lala on 22 November 2011 and 3 June 2012.  Read the full interviews (Cromer – Lala Transcript 2011), which are a remarkable exchange between a World War II veteran and a Cumberlaney High School student.  In it Mr Cromer describes his experience as a young officer from training to deployment and occupation duty in Japan as part of the US Army’s Security Agency (signals intelligence).   A must read are also Ms Lala’s moving reflections (Cromer – Lala Reflection 2011) about what she learned after her discussions with Mr Cromer. You can watch the interviews and see other information on her web site at:  http://oralveteranhistoryproject.weebly.com/resolution.html.  All of these are the direct works of Ms Lala and reflect her unedited understanding of events as recorded from Mr Cromer.”of two in depth interviews conducted by Vidya Lala on 22 November 2011 and 3 June 2012.
