“Use these suggestions as background to better understand the situation of young Americans during the period of the Korean conflict.  These selections are chosen for how that generation saw the war, and how it has been viewed in retrospect.  Some of these references were released under conditions of wartime censorship and before all facts were known, so our understanding of events since then may have changed.  A few look back on events and sometimes comment more on the times when the piece was made rather than when the events occurred.  Some of these are available at the library and from commercial sources like Netflix or Amazon.”
